Our Vinyl Flooring Installation

1.  Preparation:
Before you begin, ensure your subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Gather all necessary tools and materials, including a utility knife, tape measure, spacers, and a rubber mallet.

2.  Planning Your Layout:
Measure your room and plan the layout of your planks. It's important to consider the direction of the planks, as this can impact the room's overall appearance. We recommend laying planks parallel to the longest wall for an aesthetically pleasing effect.
        
3.  Acclimatisation:
Allow your vinyl click flooring to acclimatise to the room's temperature and humidity for at least 48 hours before installation. This step is crucial to prevent expansion or contraction post-installation.

4. First Row:
Start from a corner of the room, placing spacers between the wall and the planks to maintain an expansion gap. This gap is essential for natural expansion and contraction.

5. Clicking Planks Together:
Angle the new plank and insert its tongue into the groove of the already laid plank. Gently press down until it clicks into place, using a rubber mallet if necessary.

6. Continuing the Installation:
Work your way across the room, ensuring each plank is securely clicked into the previous one. Cut the final plank of each row to fit, using the leftover piece to start the next row.

7. Finishing Touches:
Once all planks are laid, remove the spacers and install baseboards or quarter-round molding to cover the expansion gaps. This gives your room a clean, finished look.

• Use a tapping block to protect the edges of the planks during installation.
